WORKSHOPS
We will have two workshop sessions at Renewal. When you register you will be asked to choose which two you would like to attend. Below are the available workshops this year.

Workshop One Options:
Laying the Foundation - What is the central thing in life? How do we keep the main thing the main thing? This workshop hopes to offer insightful thoughts, ideas, and discussion to answer those two questions that will help us for the long haul in making disciples.

Humble and Hungry: Time with Jesus that Works - Is spending time with God a burden for you? Does it feel like moving mountains, or skipping rocks? Come see how humility and curiosity are essential in our relationship with God and His Word!"
Prayer: Talking with Him Who Can Answer - Once we begin to understand the God who knows us as His adopted children and is mighty enough to answer our prayers, we will boldly pray to our heavenly Father! During our workshop, we will spend time praying, so bring your prayer requests!
EVANGELISM: Power of the Gospel - This workshop examines the power of the Gospel flowing through us "earthen vessels" with all of our weaknesses (2 Cor 4:7). We'll practice sharing the Gospel with each other using the Bridge Illustration and address commonly held fears that hinder us from sharing Christ.
Soul Hugs - How to live a lifestyle of welcoming and loving others, both Christians and non-Christians, the way God welcomes us into His Family. Make others feel like you haven’t just physically welcomed them into your lives, but that you’ve reached out and hugged their lonely soul.

Workshop Two Options:
Thriving in a Spiritual Drought - No one is immune to spiritually dry seasons, but everyone is quite vulnerable while in them. Come learn some essentials of how to not just survive but even thrive in spiritual droughts.

A Gospel Approach to Racism - The fullness of God’s glory is reflected through all cultures, customs, and peoples. If this is true, then we miss out on experiencing this fullness in the midst of the very real racial strife, hurt, and division in our country today. Join us as we explore how we as Christians could move past our comfort, and learn how to truly value and love those that are different from us.
Life After College - Life after college is certainly different, but there are many things that transfer. Join us to discover how your time in college should prepare you for your life after college.

Does God hate women? (For women only) - Come dig into some controversial passages with us as we uncover God’s true heart and purpose for womanhood.
​
Fighting to Win (For men only) - Have your strategies for battling sexual impurity started with gusto but ended prematurely? Are you stuck in a cycle of failing, trying harder, failing, over and over again? Come learn the tactics of war with us.
